Old Students� Association
Purpose
The purpose of the Madura College Old Students’ Association is to actively support the mission and educational objectives of the Madura College and to maintain a relationship with its alumni.
The Old Students’ Association operates as a charitable, benevolent and philanthropic institution and does not operate for profit or pecuniary gain.
Aims and Objectives
The aims and objectives of the Madura College Old Students’ Association is to encourage alumni to maintain links with the College and with each other, in order:
- To promote more effectively the welfare and interests of the College and its alumni.
- To support the College's aims and objectives and uphold its reputation as ambassadors of the College.
- To participate in activities contributing to improvement of infrastructure& Academic activities of the Madura College
- To institute prizes and scholarships to students – for merit , and financial aid to the poor and deserving students of the Madura College
- Help identify those alumni who have made outstanding contributions to their profession and/or society
- To establish mutually beneficial relationship between the College and its alumni and to bind the alumni more closely together.
- To assist in developing financial and other resources for the College and the Old Students’ Association.
Alumni Reunions
To facilitate Alumni reunions to maintain links
between alumni and the alma mater, as well as with each other and with the faculty who make every effort to join the alumni at such reunions.
It is hoped that with time, the association and involvement of the alumni with each other and their alma mater, will grow and the Association shall play an ever-greater role in the support and academic affairs of the College. The alumni will continue to be excellent ambassadors wherever they go.
Future project:
There is a proposal to construct a fully furnished Auditorium with a seating capacity of 1200. The Association has requested the management of the College to allocate about 30 cents of land within the College campus for this purpose. With the generous fund to be provided by the alumni of our college, the long pending dream of the College will come true. All the alumni are requested to contribute their mite for this noble cause.
