Compulsory Extension Service
All the first & second year undergraduate students have to undergo Compulsory Extension service, for which 75% attendance is compulsory. All the students must enroll themselves in any one of these:
- NCC
- NSS
- AEEP Youth Red Cross Society
- Sports ( Physical Education)
NSS:
The College has 4 girls units and 3 boys units in the College

This expresses the essence of democratic living and upholds the need for selfless service and appreciation of the other man's point of view and also to show consideration for fellow human beings.
The Symbols
The symbols of NSS are based on the "Rath" wheel of the Konark Sun temple of Orissa. It stands for continuity as well as change and implies on the part of the NSS for continuous striving forward for social transformation and upliftment.
AIMS OF N.S.S.:
- To develop a national consciousness among the youth
- To generate social awareness among the students
- To promote the dignity of labour among the educated
- To strengthen the spirit of service and sacrifice in the younger generation
The Volunteers:
The National Service Scheme (NSS) is a program organized by the Ministry of Education and Youth Service to afford opportunities and training in service to the community and to the nation, for students with an aptitude.
Every NSS volunteer shall know his/her duties and responsibilities. He/she shall be courteous, and patient. Each student attending the NSS will be required to put in 120 hours of service activity each academic year and he will be expected to maintain a diary showing details of his participation duly countersigned by the Programme Organizers and willing to serve the community in all possible ways.
In order to achieve the objectives the volunteers are involved in the following thrust areas for implementing their skills by the way of active involvement. The activities of the NSS volunteers include: rendering assistance in the local hospitals, regulating the traffic, lending tutorial and scribe work for blind students ,cleaning up the Campus, organizing blood donation camps etc.,
In the CBCS system, 2 Credits are awarded to students enrolling & doing service under NSS
CREDIT ELIGIBILITY:
- 120 hours of service in two academic years / Special camping programme for seven days
- Participation in National level or State level camps
REGULAR PROJECTS:
- Traffic regulation

- Helping social welfare institution
- Rural upliftment
